Another amazing month!
At the very beginning of the month we drove up for a fun trip to Pennsylvania. Kenzy has been really excited about running so we signed up to run the Color Mania Run with Mandy and Betsy! It was Mandy's idea to make a team name in honor of Zachary. We called ourselves, Zachary's Blue Angels.

Another spectacular month has passed. In honor of Zachary’s upcoming 10th birthday (3/4/14) I’ve proposed that this year, the year between his 9th and 10th birthday, that we do something special to remember him in a meaningful way. April was full of just that. If it’s possible, my heart has been smiling all month. I have so many amazing things to share with you!

This weekend marked the 3rd annual Blue Ribbon Gala for Marley's Mission. A little over 3 years ago I got a phone call from April, my dear friend and founder of Marley's Mission. It was before their inaugural gala. She said they were creating awards to give out at their yearly event. She let me know that the one award she wanted to present would be called the Remembering Zachary Award.

As a mother, when your child is taken from you, you want nothing more than for your child to be remembered. I have told Zachary's story personally through tears. I have sat in front of my computer and shared my emotions and thoughts through notes. I've shared his pictures and I've taken on the venture to get HB 601 passed in Pennsylvania in his memory.
